3Rs Centre Utrecht
Utrecht UniversityThe mission of the 3Rs Centre Utrecht (3RCU) is to reduce the use of laboratory animals in research and education. To do so, we follow the three Rs of Replacement, Reduction and Refinement (in Dutch: 3Vs of Vervanging, Vermindering en Verfijning), with a primary focus on Replacement.
AI Labs
Utrecht UniversityUtrecht University and UMC Utrecht's AI Labs are a platform for collaboration between experts from research, business and government. Together, they develop new insights and approaches for harnessing the power of AI and data science to tackle societal challenges.
Air View Mobile Platform
Utrecht UniversityTwo laboratory-grade measurement cars from Utrecht University's IRAS drive city streets recording nitrogen dioxide, soot, particulate matter, and ultrafine particles every second. The resulting high-resolution maps reveal street-by-street pollution variation across European cities, informing healthy cycling routes, urban planning decisions, and epidemiological research on air pollution and health.
Find your Immunology facilities
Explore facilities supporting research into immune mechanisms, immune responses and immune-mediated diseases. These capabilities contribute to vaccine research, infection biology, inflammation, autoimmunity and therapeutic development.
Dutch Wildlife Health Centre (DWHC)
Utrecht UniversityThe DWHC is the national wildlife disease centre that identifies and investigates diseases among wild animals in the Netherlands, shares the knowledge gained, and advises on potential risks to humans and animals.
Exposome-Maps
Utrecht UniversityAn open geospatial data platform — developed by Utrecht University through the Exposome-NL and EXPANSE projects — providing researchers with 200+ harmonised environmental exposure surfaces across Europe. Covering air quality, noise, pesticides, green space, food environment, and socioeconomic factors, it enables multi-exposure epidemiological studies linking the urban environment to cardio-metabolic and pulmonary disease.
Exposome-Scan
Utrecht UniversityA joint Leiden–Utrecht University infrastructure using high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS, GC-MS) to simultaneously measure thousands of chemicals — pesticides, pollutants, metabolites, pharmaceuticals — in blood, urine, and hair. It enables agnostic, hypothesis-free exposure profiling in large population cohorts, linking complex chemical mixtures to health outcomes and pharmaco-exposomics applications.
Find your Spatial Omics facilities
Explore facilities that analyse molecular information within the spatial context of tissues. Spatial omics technologies help researchers map cells, transcripts, proteins, metabolites and other biomolecules to better understand tissue organisation, cell-to-cell interactions and disease processes.
i-HUB – Plus Ultra Utrecht
Utrecht Science ParkDesigned to support the realisation of ideas, our concept Innovation HUB, or i-HUB for short, features fully-furnished labs and offices tailored to your research needs.
Innovation Lab (iLab)
Utrecht Science ParkStartups, SMEs, corporates, and public organizations can bring ideas to life at iLab. It connects education, research, and industry, fostering collaboration, hands-on innovation, and early-stage technology development with real-world impact. With ISO-certified labs, advanced equipment, and access to multidisciplinary teams, iLab makes prototyping, testing, and validating concepts easy.
Multi-scale Spatial Omics Platform
Utrecht Science ParkThe goal of the Multi-scale Spatial Omics Platform is to make spatial omics approaches more accessible to our UMC Utrecht researchers and beyond. To achieve this, we offer tailored support and guidance to enhance your research with our spatial technologies and strive to nurture a spatial community within UMC Utrecht. We also offer consulting and services to external users.
Find your Imaging, Spectroscopy & Microscopy facilities
Discover facilities offering advanced imaging, spectroscopy and microscopy technologies across scales. These services help visualize cells, tissues, molecules, structures and dynamic biological processes.
Princess Máxima Center Big Data Core Facility
Utrecht Science ParkThe Big Data Core (BDC) advances biomedical research by developing genomic pipelines, cloud solutions and data management policies for bulk sequencing data in pediatric oncology. Central to making data accessible to researchers is the NL-4C resource. This is a cloud-based data resource and portal developed by the BDC that enables the visualization and exploration of virtual datasets to understand the clinical characteristics and mutational landscape of pediatric cancers within the Dutch population.
Single Cell Analysis Center
Utrecht UniversitySupports you with experimental design of single cell sequencing experiments and bioinformatic analysis from quality control to publishable figures.
Single Cell Discoveries
Utrecht Science ParkWe are the only transcriptomics service provider built to deliver high-quality data quickly and reliably. We are scientist-led and technology-agnostic. Our team identifies the right workflow for your research and runs single-cell, bulk, spatial RNA sequencing or bespoke projects from RNA sample to bioinformatic analysis. You receive your results within two to four weeks.
Find your Advanced in vitro models facilities
Discover facilities that help develop and apply advanced human-relevant in vitro models. These technologies support research into disease mechanisms, drug response and personalized approaches beyond traditional model systems.
