ARCADIA

Utrecht Science Park

ARCADIA, part of UMC Utrecht's Central Diagnostic Laboratory, bridges life science research and routine diagnostics. It offers an ISO9001 environment and advanced technologies to assist researchers in biomarker discovery and validation, delivering comprehensive analytical services in a leading academic hospital in the Netherlands.

ICAT (Innovation Center for Advanced Therapies)

Utrecht Science Park

ICAT, as part of UMC Utrecht aims to accelerate the development and clinical translation of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) by providing academia and industry with shared innovation labs, translational expertise and GMP manufacturing, combining the infrastructure and disciplines needed to bring innovative therapies from concept to patient.

MedTech Development & Prototyping Facility

Utrecht Science Park

UMC Utrecht’s product development team supports researchers and innovators with (medical) technology by providing design, engineering and prototyping services. The multidisciplinary team, offers realization of custom-built research equipment, parts, functional demonstrators, and even medical device prototypes ready for clinical use.

Find your Sustainability facilities

Explore facilities contributing to more sustainable life sciences research and healthcare innovation. These services support circularity, greener lab practices, sustainable materials, environmental impact reduction and responsible resource use.

Scientific Committee (SciCom) Princess Máxima Center

Utrecht Science Park

The Scientific Committee (SciCom) is responsible for ensuring that all (pre)clinical scientific research is of the highest possible quality and complies with all (legal) rules and regulations.

Scinus Cell Expansion

Utrecht Science Park Zeist

Scinus Cell Expansion supports scalable, automated cell culture and expansion using the Osilaris bioreactor platform, helping researchers develop controlled and reproducible workflows for adherent and suspension cell culture applications.

Single Cell Discoveries

Utrecht Science Park

We are the only transcriptomics service provider built to deliver high-quality data quickly and reliably. We are scientist-led and technology-agnostic. Our team identifies the right workflow for your research and runs single-cell, bulk, spatial RNA sequencing or bespoke projects from RNA sample to bioinformatic analysis. You receive your results within two to four weeks.

Find your High-throughput Screening Technologies facilities

Find facilities that enable large-scale screening of compounds, genes, cells or biological responses. These technologies accelerate discovery, optimization and validation in biomedical and translational research.

UMC Utrecht Core Flow Facility

Utrecht Science Park

The Core Flow Facility provides and maintains flow cytometry equipment for over 150 annual users within the UMC Utrecht and external organizations.

Utrecht Platform for Organoid Technology

Utrecht Science Park

Utrecht Platform for Organoid Technology (UPORT) is a central facility within the UMC Utrecht that supports the generation of ‘living biobanks’ of healthy and diseased human tissues. Such biobanks are typically generated using organoid and induced pluripotent stem cell culturing technologies. UPORT provides a logistical infrastructure for rapid and standardized acquisition of human tissues, based on approved protocols for patient inclusion.
