3Rs Centre Utrecht

Utrecht University

The mission of the 3Rs Centre Utrecht (3RCU) is to reduce the use of laboratory animals in research and education. To do so, we follow the three Rs of Replacement, Reduction and Refinement (in Dutch: 3Vs of Vervanging, Vermindering en Verfijning), with a primary focus on Replacement.

ARCADIA

Utrecht Science Park

ARCADIA, part of UMC Utrecht's Central Diagnostic Laboratory, bridges life science research and routine diagnostics. It offers an ISO9001 environment and advanced technologies to assist researchers in biomarker discovery and validation, delivering comprehensive analytical services in a leading academic hospital in the Netherlands.

Exposome-Scan

Utrecht University

A joint Leiden–Utrecht University infrastructure using high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS, GC-MS) to simultaneously measure thousands of chemicals — pesticides, pollutants, metabolites, pharmaceuticals — in blood, urine, and hair. It enables agnostic, hypothesis-free exposure profiling in large population cohorts, linking complex chemical mixtures to health outcomes and pharmaco-exposomics applications.

Find your Biomarkers facilities

Discover facilities focused on identifying, validating and applying biomarkers for health and disease. These services support early detection, patient stratification, treatment monitoring and translational research.

i-HUB – Plus Ultra Utrecht

Utrecht Science Park

Designed to support the realisation of ideas, our concept Innovation HUB, or i-HUB for short, features fully-furnished labs and offices tailored to your research needs.

ICAT (Innovation Center for Advanced Therapies)

Utrecht Science Park

ICAT, as part of UMC Utrecht aims to accelerate the development and clinical translation of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) by providing academia and industry with shared innovation labs, translational expertise and GMP manufacturing, combining the infrastructure and disciplines needed to bring innovative therapies from concept to patient.

Netherlands Proteomics Center (NPC)

Utrecht University

Access advanced proteomics infrastructure, mass spectrometry technologies and specialist expertise for the detailed analysis of proteins, protein interactions and their biological functions.

Find your Research & Entrepreneurship Support facilities

Discover services that help researchers and innovators develop, fund, protect and translate their ideas. Support may include project development, partnerships, valorization, entrepreneurship and access to networks.

Single Cell Discoveries

Utrecht Science Park

We are the only transcriptomics service provider built to deliver high-quality data quickly and reliably. We are scientist-led and technology-agnostic. Our team identifies the right workflow for your research and runs single-cell, bulk, spatial RNA sequencing or bespoke projects from RNA sample to bioinformatic analysis. You receive your results within two to four weeks.

UCyTOF

Utrecht Science Park

UCyTOF is an expertise center for Cytometry by Time-Of-Flight and is focused on supporting researchers in investigating disease processes in patient-derived material, mainly tissues and blood samples.

UMAB (Utrecht Monoclonal Antibody facility)

Utrecht Science Park

The Utrecht Monoclonal Antibody Facility (UMAB) is the antibody facility of UMC Utrecht, specializing in the generation of high-quality monoclonal antibodies targeting surface proteins using a unique cell-based immunization method. In addition UMAB is specialized in sequencing antibody variable regions, as well as the production and purification of newly generated monoclonal antibodies.

Find your Structural Biology & Chemistry facilities

Discover facilities that reveal the structure, function and interactions of molecules and biomolecular complexes. These technologies support drug discovery, protein research, molecular mechanisms and chemical biology.

UMC Utrecht Core Flow Facility

Utrecht Science Park

The Core Flow Facility provides and maintains flow cytometry equipment for over 150 annual users within the UMC Utrecht and external organizations.
