3Rs Centre Utrecht
Utrecht UniversityThe mission of the 3Rs Centre Utrecht (3RCU) is to reduce the use of laboratory animals in research and education. To do so, we follow the three Rs of Replacement, Reduction and Refinement (in Dutch: 3Vs of Vervanging, Vermindering en Verfijning), with a primary focus on Replacement.
Hubrecht Imaging Center
Utrecht Science ParkThe Hubrecht Imaging Center enables scientists to visualize and analyze complex scientific questions using advanced microscopy technologies.
MedTech Development & Prototyping Facility
Utrecht Science ParkUMC Utrecht’s product development team supports researchers and innovators with (medical) technology by providing design, engineering and prototyping services. The multidisciplinary team, offers realization of custom-built research equipment, parts, functional demonstrators, and even medical device prototypes ready for clinical use.
Find your Stem Cell Biology facilities
Find facilities focused on stem cell culture, differentiation, characterization and application. These services support disease modelling, regenerative medicine, developmental biology and therapeutic innovation.
Pathology Research Core
Utrecht Science ParkThe Pathology Research Core (PRC) facility provides state-of-the-art tissue processing and analysis services to support biomedical and clinical research. With expertise spanning sample collection, histopathology, organoid models and analysis techniques, for studies on both human and non-human tissues.
Princess Máxima Center Big Data Core Facility
Utrecht Science ParkThe Big Data Core (BDC) advances biomedical research by developing genomic pipelines, cloud solutions and data management policies for bulk sequencing data in pediatric oncology. Central to making data accessible to researchers is the NL-4C resource. This is a cloud-based data resource and portal developed by the BDC that enables the visualization and exploration of virtual datasets to understand the clinical characteristics and mutational landscape of pediatric cancers within the Dutch population.
Utrecht Nanobody Facility
Utrecht UniversityThe Utrecht Nanobody Facility aims to provide support to academic researchers interested in nanobody technology. We provide advice and expertise for development of new nanobodies or new applications with existing nanobodies. In a collaborative set-up we provide the technology for the selection, production, functionalization, and applications of nanobodies.
Find your Regenerative Medicine facilities
Find facilities supporting research into tissue repair, replacement and regeneration. These capabilities include stem cell technologies, biomaterials, tissue engineering, biofabrication and translational development.
Utrecht Platform for Organoid Technology
Utrecht Science ParkUtrecht Platform for Organoid Technology (UPORT) is a central facility within the UMC Utrecht that supports the generation of ‘living biobanks’ of healthy and diseased human tissues. Such biobanks are typically generated using organoid and induced pluripotent stem cell culturing technologies. UPORT provides a logistical infrastructure for rapid and standardized acquisition of human tissues, based on approved protocols for patient inclusion.
