WI-KNAW maintains the CBS Collection of living filamentous fungi and yeasts, and the NCCB Collection of bacteria and phages. Researchers can order strains and deposit strains in the public collections, and also as safe deposit and patent strain deposits. Data including DNA sequences associated with the public strains are accessible online.
